A beautiful tribute from one of our residents to all our staff and upcoming staff.
For All Employee’s.
By: Larry Gilbert

I am personally glad you have accepted this job at the nursing home. You can now say you have a job, pay your bills and support your family. Not only is this job going to help you and your family, it will also help me.
This job is not only working in the nursing home. You become a part of the family to the residents who live here and call this their home. So, it is far more than a job. The resident, including myself, will look forward to you being here.
You see, we are good individuals to work with. Some of us love life, like to cut up, joke and have a good time. Other just like a kind word and a reassuring smile.
As you enter this phase of your life, remember that everyone in the nursing home is here to live out their final days. They may only live hours, days, weeks, or even months. However, some of us are here for the long haul, just because we’re in need of the extra help only you can provide.
Remember what you do or say will affect how I feel about myself and the care I will be receiving. Just put yourself in my shoes. You will not be young and healthy always. Time catches up with the best of us. This may be very well where your destination will be when the day arises that you may need extra help. So, remember that the care you provide today will someday be the same care you become dependent on. Be courteous, be kind, and as the good book says: Do unto others as you would have tem to do unto you.
1 Timothy 5: 1-2
1 rebuke no an elder, but intreat him as a father: and the younger men as brethren; 2 the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
