Residents of Harlan Health and Rehab got some face-painted and squeaky shoes-wearing visitors on Wednesday, ready to deliver a belly full of laughs: the Silly Saints Clown Ministry.
Based out of Shelbyville, Indiana, Silly Saints Clown Ministry happily spreads God’s word and their mission is, “Changing the world for Christ–one laugh at a time.” In addition to their message, they made animal and flower balloons and handed out stickers to residents that were gathered around.
What caused the biggest laugh of those in attendance was when the clowns tried to reenact the iconic photo ‘Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima’ while bumbling around the room in their goofy attire. After the program concluded, the clowns went room to room, visiting the residents who were unable to attend the program.
