Harlan Health & Rehabilitation Center honored the veterans today with a party. Veterans received a certificate of honor and a pin. Deb Burke from the VFW Auxillary #5171 in Cumberland was there to help with the program. The VFW provided the nice hats the men are wearing. Each veteran was called to the front to receive their gifts and thanks for their service. One man was brought to tears by the recognition that he received during the ceremony. This really touched the hearts of people and made them realize how much it means to veterans to receive recognition for their service. Thanks to the VFW Auxillary #5171 for all you do for veterans in Harlan County.
